1. Agreement
By placing an order or making a booking you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website. We may update these terms; the version published at the time of your order applies to that order.
2. Orders and pricing
- All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
- Placing an order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we accept your order and send confirmation.
- We may decline or cancel an order, including where an item is unavailable or a pricing or description error has occurred. In that case we refund you in full.
- Product images are indicative; packaging and bottle finishes may vary slightly.
3. Payment
Payment is processed securely by our third-party payment provider at checkout. We do not store your full card details. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method supplied.
4. Event bookings
- Minimum booking is 30 guests. Bookings are confirmed on receipt of a deposit.
- Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date, subject to availability, if you notify us at least 14 days before your event.
- You are responsible for providing safe access, power and adequate space for the fragrance bar at your venue.
5. Fragrance disclaimer
- Our fragrances are for external use on skin and clothing only. Do not ingest.
- Fragrance products are flammable. Keep away from heat, open flame and direct sunlight, and store out of reach of children.
- Perfume can cause irritation or an allergic reaction in some people. Patch test before use, discontinue use if irritation occurs and seek medical advice. If you are pregnant or have a known sensitivity, consult your health professional first.
- Any scent descriptions, note lists and longevity claims are provided as a guide only. Fragrance performance varies between individuals.
- Aerosol and liquid fragrance products are subject to transport restrictions and cannot be shipped by air freight or internationally.
6. Your consumer rights
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and other than the guarantees above, La Scenté is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or our products. Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to resupplying the goods or services or paying the cost of resupply.
8. Website content and intellectual property
All content on this site — including text, photography, branding and fragrance names — is owned by or licensed to La Scenté and may not be reproduced without our written permission. Content is provided for general information and we do not warrant that it is error-free or continuously available.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
